Happy Valentine 2005

a reflection upon valentine *or the lack of it*

being the voyeur that i am, i was browsing through my friends' testimonials at the friendster.com and i realized that gals go for SNAGs (re:Sensitive New Age Guys) more than tough guys nowadays or do they? *raise one eyebrow*

i always think testimonials are extremely superficial but if you really read between the lines it can get very interesting...if you browse through a guy's testimonial, you'd most probably find a "he's one tough person, very cool and indifferent but inside he's actually a sensitive softy kind of person" or something along the line..it kept me pondering for quite some time...is that a compliment?an insult in disguise?

think about it...how do gals reject guys?*reference from a friend of the writer..but of course..hehe* they go "you're a nice guy,i bet you'll find someone better than me" what crap? i don't want anyone better than you..I WANT YOU!!!

i actually have quite a number of female friends who tell me stories about which guys they find interesting or those whom they find LAME *with a capital L.A.M.E* do you know they find SNAGs boring? uninteresting? monotonous? seriously! SNAGs are their friends but a guy with a wild streak is a potential boyfriend...what is this? double standard!

so the next time you are interested in a particular someone, please by all means, don't open doors for her, don't talk politely to her, and don't ever speak unless asked *if you're lucky you might even fall into the "cool" category*. a short advice for those guys out there, when a friend *esp.female* tells you that you're a SNAG, unless you want to be single all your life, by all means deny all facts, reject the testimonials, just keep the truth yourself! it's a good feeling to know that you are a SNAG but it's a better feeling to be attached...

btw, i am writing not because i'm a SNAG,i'm just concern with how gals can be so stereotypical *tsk tsk tsk* *grin!*

Hey call me a stereotype, whatever, but I agree with what u quoted. I.e. SNAGs usually end up being platonic friends but guys with a little bit of wild streak would more likely be of 'boyfriend' potential. =) No offence lah yah, but seriously I don't think there's a double standard here, because note that most boyfriend potentials are SNAGs WITH ADDED wild streak. So SNAGs with no wild streak tend to lose out in this aspect and can only remain as good friends.
